I have just installed 2 Les Paul MK II Split Coil harnesses into 2 different Les Pauls. I have found the easy to install. Do not have the need to wire in cable adapters into harness as pickup change is easy and can be done quickly compared to having to desolder and solder new pickups.
Also very articulate and have the ability to change between 50's and 60's wiring with the flick of a switch

I replaced an active preamp with passive switch on my favorite 5-string jazz and this thing sounds so good. More articulate and open sounding vs. how it sounded with the pre bypassed. My bass, a BassMods K534 is known in gospel and funk for a hi-fi jazz sound and super easy playability. However, I'm a rootsy reggae/jazz/soul player and wanted to capture the classic jazz tone for mostly finger styling playing with flatwounds - installing this pre-amp did it. This gives me a modern, super easy playing 5-string with a rich jazz bass tone with more clarity and range through the 2 volumes and single tone knob. I like modding basses but soldering is something I struggle with. I'm all thumbs when it comes to wiring but I was able to do it with some trial and error in under an hour. If my pickups had more identifiable wiring, it would've taken me alot less - not the fault of the harness. Those instructions were clear and the unit is super solid.

I put the Tele 4 way wiring kit in Player 2 chambered ash along with Fender custom shop Twisted Tele pickups. OMG! this was so easy and sounds amazing!!! Every guitar I own will be getting obsidian wiring kits!!!! No soldering ever again!!!

Excellent product and reasonable pricing. Installed new pickups on a Player II HSS Strat and this kept everything neat and organized. Biggest problems were finding larger spacers for SD single coils and the Shawbucker II wire colors were questionable because of conflicting online contradictions. OW was indeed correct. Blender really brought out the best of the pups and they complement each other well, especially with the blend capabilities.

First of all I’d like to say the quality of this wiring harness is insane. Everything feels sturdy and like it will last for a very long time. Knobs and switches are all buttery smooth. Second is the convenience and versatility. This was my first time ever opening up my guitar and working on it and the instructions were easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beginner friendly, built to last harness!

My best friend had a strat he attempted to mod into an HHH configuration almost 20 years and was never able to get sound of it. I secretly borrowed his guitar and installed this in about 20 minutes. Used some pickups he had mentioned, leveled the frets, docked the bridge (per his original plan), and cleaned it thoroughly. It sounds and feels great now. I cannot wait to give it back to him for Christmas. He's going to be very surprised! Installation is painless and having a blender is a fun addition to get a few more unique tones out of it.

I love the quality and ease of install. My previous setup looked like a bird's nest but now it's neat and clean. I notice greater variability in volume and tone.

I love this 7-way switch! It sounds amazing and all the bell and whistles allow for so many different tones. The install was fairly easy BUT I do need to warn about a potential issue some might run into.

I installed on a 2005 Red Squire Strat (Indonesia made) and I did have to modify the body under the pickup. Underneath the switch by the tone knobs are 2 large capacitors and the shape of my control cavity did fit this. I had to cut into the body a little to allow them to fit. It's all under the pickguard and it was easy enough for me but just need to mention it others.

I would 100% do it again! With all of the features and controls, it is absolutely worth it!

Second to none. Clarity sound and tone easy installation perfect fit in all aspects. Very well designed and with best quality parts constructed. I have used at least 80% of my guitars the ones that I’ve built. I highly recommend.

I’m a huge Obsidian Wire fan and use their harnesses in every one of my guitars that can take them. I’ve never been disappointed in quality and features. Installation is fast and fun and it’s great to know for sure that after a pickup install, everything is just going to work without headache. I love to solder, but I’d much rather just get to playing when it comes to my pickups. Obsidian makes it happen. This particular harness is genius. Having the ability to fine tune the split bridge is such a welcome feature and truly does make a difference, giving me much more convincing "single coil" tones out of my humbucker. I'm very impressed by this harness!

This was a great upgrade for a basic Tele I built from a kit from StewMac with only basic (alpha pots) components. It has increased the punch, volume and clarity that the guitar had. I will be using Obsidian wiring kits on ALL my builds going forward. My only suggestion would be to improve the clarity of the install instructions as the "universal" version is very different from the vintage version.

I fitted the ObsidianWire Precision bass harness to my Fender made in Japan 2022 Precision bass. And fitted a set of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups, a Hipshot KickAss bridge, and a set of LaBella's.

The ObsidianWire harness fitted PERFECTLY through wholes in the Fender factory pickguard. No modifications required.

My bass looks, plays, feels, and sounds awesome. Highly recommend!

I used two sets of these for my jazz bass, because I wanted to retain the chrome look that it came with stock. These knobs are much higher quality than the ones that came on my SX Ursa 2 bass, and I absolutely love them. They compliment the new jazz harness perfectly and I absolutely love my bass setup now. :)

So many tones and so many possibilities. Easy to install and change out pickups to perfect your desired tones.
