Super Easy, Solder-less Install
This is my 2nd Obsidian harness. Got the 4-way for my Tele. Easy install but I had a bit of confusion so emailed the company and Mathew responded in 24 hrs with the help I needed. Everything worked great and the Tele sounds fantastic. Highly recommended.
I was very impressed with the quality and functionality of this product, I will be purchasing more for my other guitars.
Simple to install, no problems.
It started with the surprise present from the wife of a custom painted strat body followed by hours YouTube videos. once I had seen the tone rider City limits loaded pick guard from you guys I had to have it. The guitar isn't yet play ready but had to acknowledge the team here on their service and quality build. After making some cosmetic changes Im so excited to hear my pickups thanks for the good work can't wait to play one the build is finished.
I wasn't expecting much but I was absolutely blown away by the kit's quality and the treble bleed. It makes the Nocasters usable at all volume levels now and more importantly the neck is more usable.
Item came beautiful packaged with good instructions. The quality ofnthe wiring is outstanding.
Pick guard was easy to install and fitted perfectly on my American deluxe strat.
Tone was awsome once i set the pick up height. The band noticed that I had changed something so it wasnt just me.
When I first got this in, definitely was a bit intimidated. But with the ease of setup, information included with the Flex and some messaging between ObsidianWire staff, i was able to install it in a matter of minutes!!!
I went with the Short shaft with split coil option single volume pot. I have a 7 string that now homes this absolute versatile control!!
Definitely a must have if youre a hot rodder, or someone who is new to the world of mods. And the response times from the staff is insanely fast and absolutely friendly and helpful!! Definitely going to order another for a future project!
Excellent product was very easy to install. Solderless connection made it quick & the mounting plate fit perfectly in my Sire v5 jazz bass.
The circuit board of the harness did not fit in the control cavity of my 2021 Gibson 58RI. One side hit the edge of the cavity well before the post could clear the top, so it was basically worthless for the guitar I wanted to install it in. Also, don't plan on using for existing pickups if you they have braided wire. Even if the harness fit, that would have been an issue.
Fantastic product. I had an issue installing my first set (own fault) and the chap was very helpful.
Install was a breeze after that. Instructions are clear and the process is very easy to understand, even without electrical knowledge. Go slow, be methodical and pay attention to the instructions from OW and your pickup wiring guide and you’ll be golden.
The pots themselves have smooth, quick action. This is great for make fast adjustments on stage. PCBs are expertly soldered and wiring locations are arranged to encourage near install.
Overall, my electrics are looking extremely clean, and working as well as they possibly can.
